Links: Tulane offers Rice, more Stevens talk
- Steve Donahue will be the next Boston College coach.
- The New Orleans Times-Picayune is reporting that Tulane has offered the Green Waves job to Mike Rice Jr., ending the speculation that Ernie Kent would land there.
- Brad Stevens aside, the Register Guard asks if Oregon could be targeting an NBA coach like Rich Adelman or John Lucas II.
- According to Fox Sports’ Jeff Goodman, Sam Houston is tapping current assistant Jason Hooton, while the Charlotte job is down to Joe Dooley, Russell Springmann, Alan Major, and Pat Kelsey–all top flight assistants.
- Brad Stevens is the talk of the town. Andy Katz talks to the Butler AD, while Chad Ford speculates that Stevens could bypass college coaching altogether. Mark Stevens, Brad’s father, says Brad isn’t going anywhere. And are we really going to MMQB the Hoosier job opening from two years ago? Finally, here’s the CC Quote of the Day:
“This is a business. There’s a lot of change, and it happens often…But the thing that I have always felt about Butler is just how much I like Butler.” – Brad Stevens
